Never heard of it, which means I immediately want one!

I'd assume this is the centerfire rimmed revolver equivalent of the 5.7x28 and .22 Magnum.

Indeed, seems sort like a wheelgun version of the 5.7㎜. Or like the .22 Remington Jet, but they, presumably, avoided the cylinder binding issue.

Parenthetically, looks like Magnum Research offers the BFR in .22 Hornet. Ammo availability would be, I'd imagine, better with that offering.
