Lord, someone needs to sneak into your loading room in the night and get finger prints on your brass!! And hide a camera in there! To get the reaction!

It's a crap shoot.Did a trigger job on Savage Axis instead of reloading. I did spend a few minutes inspecting the latest batch of 224 bullets I got from American Reloading. They are 75gr HPBT bullets with cannelure. I have to say I am disappointed in this batch of bullets. The description said minimal pull marks but these bullets look deformed from the position they were latched onto. These will likely end up as heavy plinking bullets. In the past I ordered a bunch of 77gr SMKs from them and they were beautiful. I am happy with most everything I get from them but you can't win them all.
Same bullets from different angles.

I have but the primer pockets aren't cleaned to my liking. Using pins is just another step insuring my sanity is in check, I'm ok with that.Have you ever tried it without the pins? A lot less stressful and easier on the garbage disposal.
... especially the ones that hold my shoulder togetherI'd hate to loose any SS pins…
Sanity? What's that?I have but the primer pockets aren't cleaned to my liking. Using pins is just another step insuring my sanity is in check, I'm ok with that.
It's basically when things go as planned and no FUBARS rear their ugly heads in the process.Sanity? What's that?
So, in my life that would not happen very often. It's basically when things go as planned and no FUBARS rear their ugly heads in the process.
These all went off without a hitch in my Glock 22 and M&P40. I might tone down just a tad, maybe 5.8 grains for the next group. The brass comes out pretty clean with this powder/load.
I went too light on the powder with these custom wadcutters so now I get to clear my first squib. It made it 75% of the way before running out of steam.I loaded 5 rounds of 38spl custom wadcutters.

and 10 rounds of 223 with similar to Unique powder and 55gr FMJ.

It must've been the custom wadcutter load. Which load did you refer it from?I went too light on the powder with these custom wadcutters so now I get to clear my first squib. It made it 75% of the way before running out of steam.
Powder is like beer, light just doesn't get the job done.I went too light on the powder with these custom wadcutters so now I get to clear my first squib. It made it 75% of the way before running out of steam.
Uneducated guess. It must've been the custom wadcutter load. Which load did you refer it from?
It's much faster to just send another one down the pipe to clear it out.Well that was uneventful. It took under 10min to pop the slug out, only about 15 seconds of actual pounding. Maybe I should start a squib removal business

Maybe next time, I should probably double the powder charge too, since I will have to push two bulletsIt's much faster to just send another one down the pipe to clear it out.
