While I wouldn't call it the actual worst, I never will understand why Italy went into WW2 with a .380 pocket pistol as their sidearm (Beretta M1934). It even has only a 7-rd magazine! What's more, it remained in service well past WW2, with some branches of the Italian military never adopting the Beretta M1951… meaning it remained in service until the Beretta 92!

Used by the Italian army in ww1 and some again in ww2. 10.4mm, some found recently in Ethiopian storage..
Curiosity got the better of me. It appears Tiger Imports has some. For funky weirdness, I'm intrigued. (Well, not enough to acquire. But it is interesting their back on the milsurp market for being gone for so long.)
