It says Model 30 in the inscription of the barrel.Per the information here; https://www.rimfirecentral.com/threads/vintage-mossberg-rimfire-information-damguy-site.652769/ that style fore end identifies it as a Model 14. Neither the 30 nor the 25A shown have that fat fore end.
No, I got it from original owner. It's a Model 30, my neighbor is huge gun guy, took it over to him, he confirmed it.True that model 30 does not have the fat fore end.
Model 14, which looks just like OP's rifle, does have the same fat fore end with sling fastener as OP's rifle.
Model 34 also looks exactly like OP's rifle (it also has the same internals as the model 30) complete with the fat fore end. I've found pics of Model 34 both with, and without, the sling fastener.
Regardless, OP has advised me that "the inscription on the barrell it says Mossberg Model 30."
So, a Model 30 that had its stock replaced sometime in the past?
