Another option is getting a red dot mounting plate that fits the rear dovetail of your handgun, that way you can experiment before milling the slide of a gun you like. That is what I did to a CZ-75 when I first experimented with dot sights.

Next question do these sights come with a mounting plate so I could take the plate and slide to a machinist and say make it work? I know Glocks with the MOS come with a bunch of different plates.
