Financially ignorant. (I blame it on my parents).
Terrified of debt. (also my parents' fault.) I remained nearly debt-free my whole working life, currently with only a diminishing mortgage.
Retired three years ago.
First time in my life I've not lived paycheck-to-paycheck and I'm entirely comfortable financially.
Have a nest egg that would pay off the house right now, but my Financial Guy referred me back to the first thing I ever told him:
"That would be financially ignorant."
