It wouldn't have been my choice either. Although he did have a view outside his door... it was limited. My big concern would be not having full situational awareness and running the risk of some innocent bystander attempting to run by those guys in the hall at the moment my bullets are in the air.I don't think I would have done the same.
However....
We ain't talking about me...and what I did or would do.
At the end of the day...what he did worked for him...and didn't harm others who weren't a threat...so that is a win.

I don't believe he did anything "wrong" so much as it certainly wasn't ideal.. which is rarely the case anyway... and it did in fact all work out for him. No harm, no foul.
