I used to really like Heinie Straight-Eights, but for outdoors use, but my XDM 10mm came with a fiber optic front sight, which is super easy to pick up outside.

I would go with a 20-24lb recoil spring and green fiber optic front sight. A plain black rear is fine, just take a paint marker to the factory one or replace it with a steel sight, doesn't matter.

If it's a bear gun, don't put sights on it at all. Easier to fit in your mouth when smokie is gnawing on your liver

I am a huge fan of Glock factory sights.

I have about a dozen Glocks.
I have tried fiber optic as well as night sights.

I still prefer the Glock sights. They are very easy to see. Target acquisition is very fast.
