I picked up some unknown steel case 7.62x54r from a pawn shop, and opened up a can from 1972. to feel better about using these I pulled the bullet from one of each. One has a silver tip, the other does not, but both look exactly the same. both have a 148gr boat tail bullet, and 48.5 of extruded powder. The powder extrusions are much longer than the H4350, and RL15 I have on hand. tried burning a small amount, the powder burns quite slow and was difficult to light with my BBQ lighter. The Bullets were .311 in diameter.
