Interesting video. I was stationed in Vietnam in 1964 when we were issued the M-16 in 1964. I was stationed at Bien Hoa AB just north of Saigon. The issue of the rifle occurred the day after we received a mortar attack that destroyed a bunch of B-57 Canberra light bombers. To say those rifles were well received would be misleading since no one on base had ever seen one before.
