30 30 lever action
The .30-30 Winchester/.30 Winchester Center Fire cartridge was first marketed in 1895 for the Winchester Model 1894 lever-action rifle. The .30-30 (thirty-thirty), as it is most commonly known, and the .25-35 were offered that year as the USA's first small-bore sporting rifle cartridges designed for smokeless powder. Since its introduction, it has been surpassed by many cartridges in speed, energy, and trajectory, yet it remains in widespread use because of its practical effectiveness in some hunting situations, assisted by the lever-action carbines with which it is most often paired.
This is a 1948 Marlin 336RC in 30-30 Winchester. This is JM stamped and "E" code dated. This does fire and in full working condition. Finish is in OK condition, but there was some past rust. Overall it is not bad condition for the age of the gun. Action is smooth and trigger is fine.
