Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Went to ERCG yesterday as a guest. What a difference since the 1980s when I sighted in my rifle. Place is tidy and clean.
Anyone have any opinions on membership there?
Thank you
I've been there almost every year for rifle sight-ins and that's where the hands-on part of my kids' hunter's safety classes were held and I do like the vibe.
I was always going to join. Applied at one point and was put on a waiting list. When my name finally came up, there were a couple of missed calls and they apparently went on with the list. It was probably a year later that I checked back and was told I had been dropped from the list.
I drove by it last weekend on the way to shooting on Wildcat and thought about it again. Hmmm...
Funny story: about five years ago while being there for rifle sight-in, there were probably a half-dozen rabbits running around on the range. Didn't seem to bother them a bit that the bullets were whizzing by overhead, and while I'm sure most of the people there saw them, not a single round was slung at them.
