Guy brings in a gun for me to ship for him. Pulls out a 45 Colt 1897 Colt SAA. 95% maybe better. Magnificent gun. Sold it on gunbroker for $3400. Didnt even want to insure it.

Me either. Guy was super cheap. In the first place I didn't need to ship it all . It's pre 98 gun he could have shipped himself . Dot gov doesn't even consider it a firearm . The whole thing made zero sense.
 
Would be nice to try and find one that's not the price of cocaine...lol Beautiful piece nonetheless.
I dont know know that Ive ever seen a even used 3rd gen Colt SAA that didn't have drag lines from some nincompoop dropping the hammer on half cock much less a 130 year old back powder frame first gen.
