1924 date code makes this one old girl

It has the mount for the saddle ring which you can buy on eBay to return it to its full glory for like $15

For the age, it's a clean gun. Quality gun been through a lot. I've fired this gun it shoots fine.
I have multiple boxes of ammo I can include
The barrel is stamped 30 WCF but safely shoots common 30-30 ammo


To the someone who buys this
It's like Christmas getting these old winchesters and they are smooth as butter
Has some rub from riding in a saddle bag
Has some speckling on the receiver but no brown
It's a nice gun for sure , the bolt is extremely clean for its age

It would appear to have been re-blued somewhere along the way.

This may lessen it's desirability (and selling price) to a collector, but a definite plus for someone wanting a REAL '94 carbine to hunt with and shoot.

I would not present my observation of a likely re-blue as certain without the gun in my hand.

...having said that, the simple answer to your question is that wear showing may easily have occurred after the blue job.

I do not personally feel this gun has been blued judging by the condition and long time wear on the barrel saddle ring side
