So very true! My puppers were at my side the last few days while I was down with what the Dr's called Norovirus. Both ends every few minutes, they didn't let any smells bother them, they just comforted me while I was in my agony. I hadn't felt that nasty since my stem cell transplant, this wasn't as bad but dang, it wasn't fun. Dogs set a lot of good examples that humans could learn from.

My wife has said something along those lines. That she never loved a dog until she bonded with Daisy and this opened a new expression of love for her (my wife). Coming from Peru, the family had dogs but they were treated as animals, kept outside, not part of the family, no real emotional attachment. She told me, now I know love completely, my love for an animal was missing before.
