Based on what happened to John T Williams who was murdered by a police officer for having a small knife while walking down the street and minding his own business, this shooting appears to be super clearly justified, assuming the stories reflect what actually happened.

Police are supposed to be held to a higher standard than armed citizens in this state, and there is no way that this was less justifiable.
