This stunning 1874 Sharps Business Rifle was produced by David Pedersoli and features an amazing stock, aged finish and incredible case coloring. This is an incredible rifle both historically and functionally. The accuracy of the Sharps rifle is legendary and this rifle is no exception. I have owned this beautiful firearm for a while and have always been impressed with it's ability. There are very few rifles in the world that have the incredible reputation of a Sharps.
Take a good look at the photos, the rifle comes as shown. These rifles are currently EXCEPTIONALLY hard to find, especially one this pretty. The stock has been completely refinished to have a more historically correct color and finish. Oiled and hand buffed, the character in the stock is amazing. The case color on the receiver is just as beautiful and in the sunlight looks more like art than firearm. The barrel has had it's finish aged a bit, again to give it a more period correct appearance and tone. The tang features a Marbles peep sight, perfect for both short and long range shooting. The barrel retains its original ladder sight as well. The front sight is especially nice, allowing for use of the peep site or with a simple flip, becomes a blade front sight. This sight is also period correct and was used throughout the latter 19th Century. Ingenious and functional.
The rifling is in excellent condition with little to no signs of use.. Double set trigger functions very well and everything about this remarkable rifle is in fine working condition.
