hopkins & allen
Hopkins & Allen Arms Company was an American firearms manufacturing company based in Norwich, Connecticut, that was founded in 1868 by Charles W. Allen, Charles A. Converse, Horace Briggs, Samuel S. Hopkins and Charles W. Hopkins. The Hopkins brothers ran the day-to-day operations of the company until it went bankrupt in 1916 and was subsequently bought by Marlin-Rockwell.
Looking to trade this revolver. It's in excellent condition. It has no serial number. Numbers were not required when this was made. Still shoots just fine. Some blemishes on the handle. Overall in great shape. I'm looking to trade for Glock parts or AR parts. Shoot me an offer
Good Overall Condition for its age
5 Shot Chambered in .32 S&W with Octagonal 2.5" Barrel
Black Checkered Hard Rubber Grips are in good condition with one chip in bottom corner
Smooth Bore with No Pitting
Manufactured in Norwich Connecticut between 1896 and 1899
I've never fired this gun...
Does anyone know of a good gunsmith that knows how to repair old Hopkins&Allen
Revolvers such as a 1906 Safety Police 32 cal top break. I have a trigger and hammer
problem that i can't seem to figure out.
Kind of a neat-o variant on these old revolvers. I did a deep research on 19th century "suicide specials" many years ago. It is an oft overlooked topic. The guns, of course, ranged from dangerous crap to surprisingly well made pieces. Anywho, just thought I would pass it along. Cheers.
