Places To Shoot Near Sutherlin

I'll be in Suthlin for work this week and am curious if there's anywhere to shoot when I'm off in the evenings. Do any of you happen to shoot around down there? Any ranges or areas to shoot? I'd only be bringing a handgun or two, so wouldn't be needing any big distances or anything.

On central street go west. Google earth the clear cuts, follow the maps to a good clearcut. about 30 minutes to shooting areas. take 5 gallons of water and a shovel and axe as it is fire season, go to a big landing and shoot into the dirt bank.

I believe its called Douglas County Rifle club? 10 miles south at the Winchester/Umpqua Community College exit. I have no idea if they allow guest shooters?

Thanks for the reply, Horatius. The trip has come and gone. It's beautiful country down there. I'll be sure to visit again sometime soon hopefully for pleasure instead of work.
