Place to shoot near Grants Pass?

I live in NW Oregon. I have family in Grants Pass who are expressing interest in firearms ownership. This coming weeking they asked that I bring some of my guns down to go through the basics and get some trigger time in. Can someone recommend a low pressure spot with at least a 50 yard range that I can take them shooting? As always, we'll respect the land and pack out more than we bring in.

Jackson & Josephine county have public pay ranges.

If they are open, that'd likely be your best bet rather than spending time trying to find safe spots.

Google respective county "sports parks" or some such.

Note, AFAIK, neither allows steel targets, just paper. So there's that.

Not sure how helpful this would be but if you google "ODFW Hunting Access Map" and click on the link, an option should come up to select shooting ranges. Shows the public (and private I believe) shooting ranges in the state.

Josephine county sportsman park in Merlin just North of Grants pass off I 5 is a very nice range.

Wow! I wish I'd been into firearms when my father-in-law was alive. He lived in Merlin. This looks like a great place.
