I think you have that backward... version I heard was that he prefers to give it--allegedly to underage boys, in keeping with his being from the sect of the Catholic Church that seems to have the worst incidence of pederasty.

The ONLY way we're ever going to see a reversal of these laws in WA is for business owners to do what this guy is doing - openly defy the law, get sued, and fight in court. There is no other recourse available. If you aren't being sued you don't have standing, which means any lawsuits that don't stem from AG's action will fail. I don't think anyone should be saying "this poor business owner is being terrorized by the gov" - he willfully defied the law, and now he's bearing the consequences of that decision. But he is taking on the legal and financial risks to make this fight happen, and doing so on behalf of all Washington gun owners. And that's exactly why I support him in making this decision, and why I will contribute to his defense fund. He might fail, and if he does he will lose his business. But if he wins he could help roll back this unconstitutional, pointless dumpster fire of a law.

And if he wins the day establish a precedent for the whole country--which is why I expect every underhanded legal, extralegal and even illegal measure in the book to get used. Wouldn't rule out having some kiddie-porn from Bob's alleged stash planted and "found" to torpedo Gator in the Court of Public Opinion because the Karen Tards think "the allegation wouldn't be made if there wasn't a spark of fire under the smoke," even AFTER they have it explained to them how the scam works and ask how they'd react to it being used on their own sons.

When I find an opportunity to talk about the realities of "crime" in WA state with someone who isn't already on our side, I don't bother with the nuances of 2A rights. It makes more sense to highlight the massive failures in keeping Washington state residents safe from real crime. The last 4 years have been a sick joke . Bums fragging each other and burning down half of king county. Teenagers stealing whatever they want, and getting in gunfights. Drug zombies smoking chemicals wherever they stand, or even on the city bus. This garbage is going, daily, and just gets worse.
Anyone in the middle, politically, should have it pointed out to them that the party In power is responsible for all of this. We gripe constantly that we're left out because the Left has complete control of most of our state. This situation has a small silver lining, because it's true in a practical sense.
If the other side can do whatever they want, then why are they focusing all these resources on a freakin misdemeanor?!?

He stood up for what he believed to be the right thing to do, and I'm certain more than a few members of this forum benefited as a result of his stand. I'm certain he knew the risks and made his stand anyway. I respect and thank him for making that stand.

Very likely that this initial trial goes our way as it's in Cowlitz County Superior Court, not Thurston or King counties. And, because Fergie decided to initiate action in Cowlitz County, he can't then make the argument to move the case somewhere more favorable as Gators has standing and injury. Sure. They could very quickly quote Article VI, Paragraph 2 of the COTUS (aka the Supremacy Clause) in conjunction with the SCOTUS Bruen decision and effectively make it VERY difficult for any state court to reverse on appeal. If the the appeals court did reverse, they could draw the ire of SCOTUS and the federal court system.
