Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I just bought one of these in a pawn shop yesterday. It was cheap, and I liked the size better than my Rough Rider and Wrangler. Would anyone have any idea about how to determine how old one of these is? Mine has fake stag plastic grips.
Here it is. The action is actually very nice. I am still waiting for the background check to clear. I'm assuming this is a load five and not six kind of gun?
These date to around the mid 1960's.
No transfer safety bar...but a frame mounted firing pin.
If it was mine...I'd load five if I was going to carry it...and six if I were to shoot it right away.
No real reason , other than that has worked well for me , since I am used to using actual revolvers from the 1850's- 1890's.
In any event any of the Western Marshall .22 revolvers that I have shot , have both shot and handled nicely.
Cool find for you and I hope you enjoy your new to you revolver.
