DQ can and should be a learning experience. Well done all.

Making it humiliating doesn't serve much purpose I think.

A major plus to local pistol matches is the strict adherence to the safety rules. While many times the infractions may seem small for a DQ, the consequences to the sport would be catastrophic if there was a serious accident. Local shooters have embraced the culture and do a good job passing it down to new shooters.

I have been DQ'ed twice. Both times clearly my mistake. It did nothing but improve my safety at matches.
