Thank you for this list. I've sent out messages already. What I will try to do tonight is send messages to the Democrats, who are the cause of all of this.

@Chess Lover has some great talking points in this post to make it really easy to copy/paste and edit to your particular liking so you can contribute WRITTEN testimony. This makes it way easier to fire off your thoughts with these talking points. It helped me to gel some thought I had running around in my head that I couldn't put to paper, so to speak. It's as easy as copying Chess Lover's text, going to the site and clicking through, then pasting it into the dialog box. Too easy!
Thank you.

Flood Tara Simmons emails. She has only been in a few years and she's in Recovery. Politely remind her that in recovery we take accountability for our actions. That we don't blame people places or things. That we hold individuals responsible etc I hate to say it but we have to play nice in the emails. Any hate will only fuel their agenda. Do not quote numbers unless you have a legitimate source and not some conservative or liberal website. Use actual crime data from fbi and government or don't quotas it. Use their academic game to beat them

They don't care about data.

A standard capacity magazine ban will do nothing to curb gun violence, and will only limit law abiding citizens ability to protect themselves.

Take a look at seizure pictures of criminals in CA, they always have stacks of 30 rounds mags they bought from out of state.

This will only affect normal citizens who want to protect their family, mostly in their own home. When you hear a bump in the night, 99 percent of people just grab a gun and flashlight to investigate. If something bad actually happens they are going to use what's in the gun and nothing more. 10 rounds in gone in a heartbeat in a close quarters fight for your life in the middle of the night.

With police response times stretching out farther and farther, especially in disadvantaged lower income areas, this bill will only hurt the people who actually might need to protect themselves.

When you hear someone rattling your kids bedroom window or back door closer to your kids room you can't afford to wait an hour for the police to show up.

Tell that to the legislators.
We already know this.

I think it's a suggestion as to one possible argument you might make in the online comments to our state legislature regarding an impending vote. You know, the topic of the thread. ;)
I get that, but it would have been better had he prefaced that with
"I sent this"
So many folks rant and rave here then never say the same to the people who really need to hear it.

For Democrats, it's all about power and control. They play on the emotions of others and cite public safety endlessly to achieve their agenda.

There's a good chance the police won't show at all.

I'm not familiar with this term, unless we're talking about substance abuse. Am I missing something? Care to elucidate?

Yeah I was talking about her being double standards on her own life but wants to blame others in legislation
Simple reminder of we need to be self accountable and not blame others or take away their rights based on our fears.
