has 8.2" barrel and adding some flip up sights
Looking for optics and specifically a red dot.

plan to shoot up close 25-50 yards up to 200-250 yards at coyotes and deer and possible steel for fun.

I do plan to suppress it later after long wait.

if money were no object what would you experienced shooters suggest.

if the wife finds out what is realistic? :)

thank you.

I went smaller with a Leupold Delta Point with the delta reticle.
It's compact, which allows you to use a smaller carry case which means you can carry it in something that doesn't scream "Gun!" and it has good battery life. Around$350-$400.

I like the Sig Romeo 5 line that can be had between $100 and $180 depending on the type of battery you want it to take and how much on sale you buy it on. I prefer the aaa battery versionI've had great experience with them on AR pistols.

I like trijicon, I went with an mro on my 8" 300.
That being said, i just switched it out for a see all sight to check them out. So far i like like it, but I've only had it out once.
