glasses
Glasses, also known as eyeglasses or spectacles, are devices consisting of glass or hard plastic lenses mounted in a frame that holds them in front of a person's eyes, typically using a bridge over the nose and arms which rest over the ears. Glasses are typically used for vision correction, such as with reading glasses and glasses used for nearsightedness. Safety glasses provide eye protection against flying debris for construction workers or lab technicians; these glasses may have protection for the sides of the eyes as well as in the lenses. Some types of safety glasses are used to protect against visible and near-visible light or radiation. Glasses are worn for eye protection in some sports, such as squash. Glasses wearers may use a strap to prevent the glasses from falling off during movement or sports. Wearers of glasses that are used only part of the time may have the glasses attached to a cord that goes around their neck, to prevent the loss of the glasses.
Sunglasses allow better vision in bright daylight, and may protect one's eyes against damage from high levels of ultraviolet light. Typical sunglasses are darkened for protection against bright light or glare; some specialized glasses are clear in dark or indoor conditions, but turn into sunglasses when in bright light. Most sunglasses do not have corrective power in the lenses; however, special prescription sunglasses can be ordered. Specialized glasses may be used for viewing specific visual information (such as stereoscopy) or 3D glasses for viewing three-dimensional movies. Sometimes glasses with no corrective power in the lenses are worn simply for aesthetic or fashion purposes. Even with glasses used for vision correction, a wide range of designs are available for fashion purposes, using plastic, wire, and other materials.
The number of Americans who are nearsighted has doubled since the 1970s and almost 3/4 of the US population wears glasses. People are more likely to need glasses the older they get with 93% of people between the age of 65-75 wearing corrective lenses.

Oakley blue line flag gascans. They have the polarized prizm lenses. They are like new I only wore them a couple times. Couple small dings in the frame but they are small and hard to see. Lenses are perfect.
I was eagerly looking forward to returning to our local range. It was closed for several months due to the pandemic. It recently reopened with restrictions and conditions. One of those conditions is that all shooters must wear a mask. Unfortunately, I wear glasses and fogging is a big problem...
looking for a very low profile pair of shooting glasses for my wife.
These need to work underneath full over the ear muffs without digging into the side of her head.
I have a set of Elvex RX500’s which are great, but you can’t get the in a non magnifying version.
Any ideas would be great!
Thanks

We all know the inherent dangers of reloading....
Id have to say that it goes beyond over/under charging
I was using a Lee hand priming tool, as I have for 15 years... priming some .45acp cases.
Sometimes I get a little resistance with my Sellier & Bellot brass, primer pockets are tight...
With scopes I need distance glasses and with open sights I need mid-range like my computer glasses.
Anyone else found this - how did you work it out
Thanks
So I go in to see my eye dr. for my yearly checkup 2 days ago. As I'm leaving, I mentioned I may be interested in some new safety glasses for shooting since the ones I have don't always line up with my scope/sights on a rifle. They work fine for pistol, but depending on the rifle, they tend to...
We're looking to acquire prescription shooting glasses for my sidekick (@TeacherSmurf). Though I know he is a shooter, I don't know that our optometrist carries such a thing. I'd have to imagine there are options online, so am searching on that now. If anyone has had good experience with a...
After looking over the various sections in the forums, I thought this was the best place to ask.. (if not please move)
It's time for me to get a new prescription for glasses. As money is tight, I want one pair of all around glasses - good for everyday life. This means driving, walking, working...
Had a guy come in with half a dozen shell cases from a A-10 Warthog nose cannon and want me to machine them down for alternative use.
Made a press fit little brass plug for the primer hole which tested liquid tight.
Kind of a fun little thing
And because I know someone will say it, these...
What's the clearest pair of safety glasses? Because lately I've been taking mine off every opporunity I get because they get in the way of shooting. My scopes have clear glass, but its next to impossible to take advantage of that when the safety glasses are just awful.
SOLD I wore these once and they are too "busy" for me. <broken link removed>
They have a set of clear lenses and a set of lenses with magnification at the top. $20 shipped
