A working session on a bill with no session or did they just never adjourn the special session? Odd either way and it seems pretty shady to me.

The Judiciary chair, Prozanski, was trying to claim he was our buddy and OFF was lying about him a couple years ago. Funny how his true colors keep showing up.

Here is what we have sent them and to who.
No more screwing around with these people.
Every year the same old crap.

Don't think there is much to worry about with Jeff Kruse.
He has been a friend to gun owners so far.

LETTER AS SENT PERTAINING TO LC 154 AS SPECIFIED IN OFF-ALERT

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Senator, (Oregon state)

NO, NO and NO to any more anti gun laws or registration schemes
Ref: LC 154

Please be advised that we OPPOSE any more 2nd amendment infringements and will not tolerate them in any way.

In no uncertain terms we request that you oppose extending the failed background check system to a private transfer and you oppose any new gun registrations or regulations.

Colorado has given citizens the fortitude to and the will to begin a recall on any state representative that votes to enact any more infringements on our Constitution, Any more burden on legitimate gun owners or any registration schemes.

We have had enough in this country and it is now time to take a solid stand.

Either you are with America or you are against it.
Enact azzenine gun laws and we will presume you are against it.

Be forewarned the citizens are fed up, fed up,and fed up.
I hope you are sensible and put any attempt to do any more damage to the 2nd Amendment aside and trust the good citizens of this state with their and our rights.

Most Sincerely,

(signed)

Two suggestions for your letter:
1) Write in 1st person singular using "I" and "me" instead of "We" and "us".
2) Check spelling and grammar -- for example: asinine , not "azzinine".

I agree with the sentiment, but the letter will have more force if it is from you, and is corrected.

There were two signatures on the letters and emails. ie; we and us.
And I have sent letters previously that have had more than a hundred signatures.
this one had 2 this time.
Also my patience has worn as thin as rice paper over the years.
The addresses are there to email.
I can also provide the snail mail if anyone wants them, but they are easy to get at the website for the State Senate Judiciary.

As for the letter it's the way "we" feel at this point.
Devise your own, use this or part of it, it does not matter, just email, snail mail and call.
This one was more harsh than last year, and next year will most likely be even more harsh.
The next year I will include a fire extinguisher......and on and on....
50 years of this crap makes a person short and direct.
It is my reversal of the zero tolerance crap that the left pushes.
Only now I have zero tolerance for turncoat marxist socialist politicians.
And azzenine gets past the filters without going to the trash heap.
They are dumb, but not so dumb they do not get the meaning of azzenine.
Put a.s.s anything in there and they won't get your email.

:buttrock::s0109:

Hell, I might even ramp up to the next years sentiment before this year is over............

My guess Ginny Burdick is behind this piece of garbage.

Good chance she's involved but OFF says the Judiciary Committee is the responsible party. Really what we have to say about who introduced it is conjecture until the session starts and/or it's on record.

Burdick is easily the most vocal anti politician in the state. Not a fan to say the least.

The only one for sure that was not responsible is Jeff Kruse. He has always been the ally of the 2nd Amendment.

It's why I was thinking Prozanski as the committee chair. One way to keep your name off a bill and easy to get it into your committee. Conjecture on my part now though.

Either way, all but one, maybe 2 are the enemy.
Lets hope they have the self preservation instincts to kill this before it goes anywhere.

Ok, so I don't see anything yet on the Oregon gov website yet, except that they are meeting on the 17th. Where did the "LC 154" number come from?

OFF, Kevin has his sources. Count on it.
Time to kill it is now before they even consider putting it out there.

And it is all over the net if you do simple search.

But primarily it came out in the legislative alerts that you can subscribe to.
An Early warning system so to speak.
They come in PDF and look like this.

If you are signed up for Legislative email alerts for whichever committee you get a downloadable pdf file sent to your email. I tried to attach it, but it seems it is too large for NWFA and my 'puter-foo skill level is not high enough to figure it out. LC 154 is correct as of today.

You can save it to file and then attach the file if it will accept a PDF here.
I just pasted the alert agenda below.

In previous years they have usually pushed items such as this back. Being that this is at the end of the work session my money is on them postponing it so that it gets a much shorter time span between email alert and work session coverage.
