My neighbors business is cleaning out apartment building rental units and garages after the tenant has been evicted, disappeared, hauled off to jail or died.
He finds all kind of stuff and occasionally firearms. He just takes them to the local police department and if the guns aren't stolen and the tenant doesn't claim them, he gets the go ahead to pick them up.
i don't know how the police handle the BGC.
