Fairly limited inventory currently (but that’s most places right now!)
Picked up a rifle yesterday from J&B. This was the second or third gun purchase over the last few years from them. I always enjoy stopping by and checking out their shop, as they get items that catch my interest from time to time. I called about a rifle, which they held for me until I could stop by later that day. Fair price, easy, quick, efficient transaction.
I'll put in a good word for J&B Firearms Sales in Beaverton, on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy (across the street from KFC and BiMart). I've always had great service there, even to the point of the salesmen looking up info on their computers when they didn't know the answer to my (sometimes many) questions. Their FFL transfers are pricey at $35.00 +$10.00 for first one, but then $5.00 + $10.00 for the next four. I've never had a bad experience there, and am quite happy to pay a few bucks more than I would at a big box store because of the good personal service. I also like the 'AR Wall' on the north side of the shop, which gives me something to play with when they're busy. They also take used firearms on consignment, and display them at local gun shows as well as in the shop.
I've done many transfers with these guys. They know their stuff, they're very approachable and friendly, they always have new inventory, and are even quick to reply on Facebook messenger which makes it easy when I'm at work or busy.
My main FFL is Cut Above Pawn which has cheaper fees, but these guys are still great.
I've always felt comfortable at J&B, first time I ever went there I walked out with a new Glock. I followed their social media and came back a couple weeks later for a consignment rifle they had posted. Super friendly and knowledgeable. I'll keep checking back for good deals even if it's a little out of my way.
The location is convenient, the store is always clean and well-stocked, and the employees are friendly and helpful. I've done at quite a few transfers with these guys (both selling and receiving) and they've never let me down.
They have a location in Vancouver for Washington residents. I really appreciate this. Everyone I've met there have been really down to earth and helpful. I've bought three guns from them, and they were always really easy to deal with.
I recently ordered a New Ruger Mini-14 Tactical Rifle from J&B. When I first walked in to check them out I was sure they were going to try and talk me out of the Mini-14 and into an AR as they had AR's in the Plenty on the walls. This was not the case. They showed me a Mini-14 they had in stock but I decided to I would rather order a new one with the ATI Stock I wanted on it already. This was no issue to them. They took my order and a week later I had my rifle. They were very helpful and I will be back for sure.
