Scope recommendations for 308win in 16in barrel

I'll never be shooting past 400yards. I can say that with confidence. The biggest problem is that my current scope starts at 6 power.
I'm actually considering another Vortex is the 3-15x range now.

A 2-10x would be more than enough for that distance. From there, budget is the only limit.

UPDATE

I went with Vortex, specifically VIPER PST GEN II 3-15X44 FFP. Once I get it, I'll be removing the VIPER HSLR 6-24X50 FFP and putting it up for sale. Watch the classifieds if you're in the market.
