Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I recently acquired a PSA dagger slide with a RMR cut and I also have one on the way with an Docter and I just want peoples opinions on both…. Cheapest ones for beginners that never used a pistol red dot? Is it really worth dropping the price of a pistol for the top name brands?
If you are buying a dagger to put a red dot on it you are already seemingly committed to doing this as cheap as you possibly can without buying a Hi-point.
The RMR footprint will accommodate a Holosun 407 or 507 which is a "really good" option for the money.
With the experience I have with red dots. I'd only do enclosed emitters in the future for purchases and set-ups. Gunk just really accumulates on the interior lens of the open emitter red dots. It's annoying and becomes a visual hinderance to using the sights.
