88 PPSH-41 submachine guns in the bomb bay of a Soviet Tu-2 bomber. Known as the "Hedgehog", it was to fly over formations of enemies and unleash all 88 PPSH-41s simultaneously. One of the craziest half-track modifications: four 20 mm cannons and two .50 caliber machine guns mounted on an M2 half-track. The guns were contained within an Elco turret that had originally been made for PT boats, known as the Mark 15 Thunderbolt. It was one the most powerful SPAAGs of the war, but the M2 struggled to handle the weight of the turret and the project was eventually cancelled. https://tankhistoria.com/exper.../anti-aircraft-half-tracks/
