Which of these j frame configurations (m60, m640, m649) do you prefer and why?

I carry a 60. It's a nice, traditional revolver and it goes boom every time.

I'm thinking of a 640 lightweight though. Not so much for the hammerless but because I already have a 60.:s0155:

I carry the 640-3 as a boot/backup gun.
It is very light, strong, and never snags.
I put a set of CTC laser grips on it since it is a prediter only piece.

Now my wife wants one for her purse, and other carry configurations, GUH...

edit: nice pic btw.

I've got a 649 and a 60 (3" barrel). I know that hammerless is supposed to be the way to go with these guns for carry, but I really like having the hammer available. Never been crazy about the shrouded hammer versions.

The m60 is my favorite too. I love the classic looks. Those sweet, slim profile, walnut grips from S&W don't hurt it any either. :)

I have found that if you practice drawing you revolver with your thumb on the hammer you eliminate the snagging issue.
