So I miss-spent my youth and was barred from owning firearms for 20+ years.

I went through the lengthy and expensive process for "relief from exclusion" (or however they word it) and now I can legally own and buy guns, and have done so with exuberance ;-).
However, when they do my do my BGC they just call the state line and all that and I walk out with my new toy. I am wondering if the feds, generally speaking, agree with whatever the state has decided or are they going to use different criteria and not recognize my new status in OR?
I was told (not by an attorney or LEO) that "if you can buy a gun, you can get a stamp" but I am nervous about dropping the $$ just to find out I was misinformed.

Anyone else here gotten their rights restored and have experience with this?

I think you're ok. Might take a little longer. Try doing a form 1 first if you're really worried about it. They usually come back a lot quicker then you know for sure if you're good to go.
